Somersmiles Dental participates in the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which provides eligible children with up to $1,158 towards a range of general and preventive dental treatments over two calendar years. Your child may be eligible if they are aged 0–17 and your family receives Family Tax Benefit Part A or certain other eligible Australian Government payments.
If your child is eligible for CDBS, simply let our team know. We can help check their available benefits and applicable Medicare rebate.
At Somersmiles Dental, we proudly accept DVA patients. Depending on the type of DVA card you hold, certain general, preventative and restorative dental treatments may be partially to fully covered. During your appointment, please bring along your Veteran Gold or White card, so we can assess your dental coverage entitlements even before the treatment begins.
Treatments generally covered by DVA include routine check-ups and cleans, fillings, extractions, dentures and other clinically necessary dental treatment, subject to DVA eligibility, treatment limits and approval requirements.
We accept Victorian Government dental vouchers, including the Victorian General Dental Scheme (VGDS) and Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme (VEDS). These vouchers help eligible patients in the public dental waiting list access general and urgent dental care through participating private dental practices.
